How to optimise flexo printing
Presentation
Flexographic printing has experienced a considerable qualitative leap in recent years thanks to the evolution of materials (inks and photopolymers), plate engraving technology, anilox, editing and production software and the advances and improvements in the flexographic machines themselves, such as speeds, registration, etc.
It occupies a leading position in label and flexible packaging printing, as well as in the corrugated market.
However, the quality and performance of the flexographic process is not only conditioned by the technology available and its evolution, but also by the production process followed internally by the company, which will largely determine the result achieved and the profit margin.
In order to get the most out of the available technology it is therefore important to optimise the pre-press and flexo printing processes. The course ‘How to optimise flexo printing’ will set out the main technical specifications to be considered in the printing process based on international standards such as ISO12647-6 and FIRST (Flexographic Image Reproduction SpecificationsTolerances).
